Keaney Rathbun’s work is a celebration of color and life. He depicts the simplest of human interactions with the world and our fellow man, giving reverence to family, friendships and romantic love. They are about everything that makes life worth living and in so being are touching and relevant.
“My bas relief carvings and screenprints are autobiographical narratives. The images are figurative and gestural, and are deceptively simple metaphors of human experience. They are joyous and whimsical, emotional and poignant. They represent an optimistic and naïve spirit embracing the moments that make up my life.”
